Hi everyone, it is the Kahuness again. Since the Kahuna is very busy I decided I would write the November opening for the Newsletter. Sorry it is so late but this has been one of the busiest months we have had in a long time.
If you haven’t heard by now, Lu and I have a new bike. Old Granny is on the mend and soon will be up for sale along with our first bike the Suzuki. We haven’t gone on a lot of rides but we love the bike and I am trying to get used to the idea of riding in the clouds. Anyways, I hope everyone enjoyed the Hampton Lanes for bowling. |

Honda had a commercial a long time ago for the motorcycles that said “You will find the nicest people on a Honda.” That still holds true today.
On October 31st Crystal and I took our 1983 GL1100 in for inspection. After the mechanic looked it over, he told me it failed. Seems that the rear rotor and brake pads were shot which surprised me, because I just replaced them 6 months ago and only have 500 miles on them. So he put the bike up on the lift and found the rear tire that only has 2,000 miles on it, was shredding and peeling. When they removed the tire the bearings that are pressed in fell out. Not Good!

Ah yes, the time of year for the Kruise 4 Kids, the day we plan all year for. After last year the only thing that could have been better was having a more than 350 riders participating. Well at the second check point, third stop overall, hence the label (Charlie) we were set for another great day with the Kids form the near by Miracle league.
Well the weather is the only element out of our control on this day and Mother Nature must have been upset. The rain poured down in buckets, but lo and behold, we actually had motorcycles show up for the ride!
